$RVXCF worth some DD imo....
Resverlogix, its a biotech working in the relatively new field of Epigenetics. Everyone knows what Genes are, DNA and all that stuff. Epi is Latin and means "above", so Epi-Genetics is above the Genetic level and involves things called writers and erasers, basically turning things off and on. Another way to look at is to think of Genes as being the hardware and Epigenetics being the software....and I think most people know in terms of computing where the $$$ is.
The company is about 1 full year into a Phase III clinical trial for their lead compound RVX 208 which has been named Apabetalone. Building on earlier trials they are seeking to prove that Apabetalone will succeed in reducing the incidence of Major Adverse Cardiac Events (MACE) which are defined as Heart Attack, Stroke and Death in patients with Diabetes Mellitus.
Diabetes Mellitus is a fancy way of saying full blown, insulin dependent Diabetes. Those familiar with the disease know that regardless of how well a Diabetic manages his/her blood sugar level, that about 75% will suffer a Major Adverse Cardiac Event.
There are risks obviously, so this is not a reccomendation but rather a suggestion that Resverlogix is worth some investigation and DD. If unsure consult with an investment professional to determine if an investment would be suitable based on risk tolerance.
Resverlogix trades in Canada on the big board TSX and in the US on the OTCQX. Most of the volume happens on the TSX, although of late the OTC has started seeing some days with better volumes.
