Lincoln, NY -- Those in the agriculture community who want to learn more about guidelines for the collection and transport of agricultural plastics should attend a meeting at 10 a.m. Dec. 13 at the Buyea Road landfill.
The Madison County Department of Solid Waste is hosting the meeting.
The agenda includes:
• Discuss the drop off of AG plastic at the Buyea Road Landfill site and the three transfer stations
• Review brochure and poster, making sure locations and preferred method of delivery is correct and that those from outside of Madison County must deliver all material to the Buyea Road
• Discuss the possibility of holding a press conference at a farm in Lincoln or Lenox and what should be discussed at the press conference, including the preparation and storage of ag plastic
• Public Education Efforts will be the responsibility of all involved, including posters and brochures, press releases and contacting the media.
