My response to Detonate, who asked if Loanranger found some change in his sofa and was buying shares this morning.

Would never happen. LR would be too concerned that the mint stamp on the coin doesn't appear to be one of the 4 authorized mints from the 60s. Then he'd question color of the coin, its apparent weight difference from other coins he has in his pocket. Then he'd place a call out to the Philadelphia mint and learn that, in actuality, the mint doesn't really get involved with authenticating pennies that were issued a half century ago. He'd then be very skeptical about this coin and any other coins he had and would have express that doubt and apparent apathy of the governing bodies that are supposed to be responsible for providing the backing that support the coin's valuation. He would toss and turn over this and repeatedly bring up the coin quandary any time someone else brought up the value of a coin to make sure that under no-certain terms, no one else could also value the coin properly because you could never truly value the coin in the first place. He's leave you wondering if you should have ever picked up the coin in the first place.
