There is hope - trail cameras have captured what they "think" is a jaguar but the film is too blurry to be sure.
But a hunter managed to get a picture of a tail southeast of Tucson on Sept. 23. It may be an ocelot but the pelt pattern is typical in jaguars but not ocelots
