Pepsi Makes Major Announcement About Their Bottled Water

Some of the most popular water bottle brands, ones that Americans spend billions of dollars on every year, aren't always what people are led to believe.
This may come as a surprise, but the Pepsi-Cola Company has hid this fact in a tricky label acronym for years! It's fair to say, consumers are far from pleased...
Aquafina, which is a Pepsi-owned bottled water company, had the acronym "P.W.S." on its label for decades - but not many knew what that stood for. That was until recently, when the company decided to spell out the acronym for its customers, and the true meaning was revealed.
They announced to the world that "P.W.S." on the Aquafina label stands for "Public Water Source," meaning the water sold to consumers can be sourced from places such as ground wells. This is the same means that tap water around the country is drawn from!
PepsiCo spokeswoman Michelle Naughton explained the reasoning behind the change of labels to ABC News.
"If this helps clarify the fact that the water originates from public sources, then it's a reasonable thing to."
Unfortunately, Pepsi isn't the only major manufacturer that's bottled and sold tap water to hardworking Americans. Coca-Cola, which owns the uber-successful brand Dasani, also pulls their water from public water sources.
It may be time to save our money and opt for tap water in reusable bottles!
