Time for the weather report you say? For those who hate the criminally short days of winter you can check the astronomy sections of some of the following to verify day light hours for your location.
In some areas the afternoons begin lengthening on Dec 13 even though mornings continue shortening til at least Jan1-with Dec 21 on average being the shortest day-dont know the reason for this non-synchronous divergence between sunrise and sunset but may have something to do w the elliptical orbit-many meteorologists arent even aware of the phenomena- and what do you expect when some of them call Dec 21 1st day of winter! Enjoy lab rats. Looks like a rare rainy day thursday.
