So the shelf life was wrongly marked at a year ins

So the shelf life was wrongly marked at a year instead of 2 correct. So the way I see it, writing off the product is great to get it over with and the product could still be used for promotional stuff, taste testing etc just cant be sold. Thus lowering marketing/ promotional cost over the next year!
