Two days left in the month and you can hear a pin drop at NTEK. I myself had expected much to be announced by now and totally agree with Atlas's post # (67287). I will say this, business updates from the company have ceased obviously for a while. I sense internal procedures for dissemination of info externally have not been followed in some cases. NTEK is reviewing new policies on external communication releases. I can verify this from my own experience with Windows 10 release prematurely released before piracy and security updates had been built in for some not ALL devices. There is much more that goes beyond lack of communication then this. Do I excuse the company for not telling us this? Absolutely not and there is much to be desired in all other area's for NTEK to get the $hit together and communicate!
I have always communicated that D. Foleys release is a turning point. Regardless I still understand that the technology rollout is critical for holiday season and fully believe we will see that happen going into the holiday season.
There has been much discussion on this board around early release for Mr. Foley, here's what I know. David is eligible to be released to a halfway house as of March 14, 2016, however, they can give him up to a year to a halfway house. They didn't and gave him two weeks. His home confinement date is Jan 1, 2017, and they gave him two weeks (the minimum amount you can get) of halfway house. His official release is Dec 16 to halfway house. While on home confinement, he will be allowed to go to work during the day. He will be off of home confinement on March 14, 2017.
It is D. Foley's view things will change very quickly in 2017, namely the technology roll out in time for next generation of 4K buyers. 2017 will be the first year of the early majority of buyers for 4K. I will say it's too bad we have been stuck here for two years, as we lost some momentum with the loss of his presence but we are still plenty early in the market space to dominate our market so thankfully we were so leading edge on the technology that we still have over 80% of the consumers yet to buy 4K tv's.
The out look is still very positive for me and we have much to be desired at this point but my gut feeling is one day looking back at all the rocky roads we have encountered to this point UltraFlix will be a mainstay leader for 4K and a powerhouse of innovation that the billion dollar company's will salivate for namely our live streaming technology! Make your own decision's but as far as I'm concerned I'm still a share holder buyer !
