O’Reilly Explains Where Trump 'Missed Opportunit
Post# of 51519

At the start of Monday’s debate, Donald Trump was “credible—speaking about stimulating the economy” and creating jobs, Bill O’Reilly said in his Talking Points Memo .
“As the debate wore on, Trump got…testy,” O’Reilly cautioned.
“Technically, Clinton won the debate on points because she was able to keep Trump on the defensive,” he said, adding that Clinton landed punches on Trump’s tax returns, the Obama birther issue, and the controversy over whether a remark he made on the Howard Stern Show proved his support for the Iraq War.
“[Moderator Lester Holt] helped Clinton on the ‘birther’ deal,” he said.
But O'Reilly called it a big "missed opportunity" for Trump not to challenge Clinton on failed Democratic administrations in cities like Chicago and Baltimore.
He said Trump also should have "pinned the secretary down" on a host of other issues, like sanctuary cities, violent anti-police protests, "disrespect for the national anthem" and school vouchers.
O’Reilly said that neither candidate had a break-out moment, but suggested that Trump concentrate next time on “three in-stone realities”:
1. The federal government is hurting poor and working-class Americans by punishing the private sector.
2. Clinton's "acceptance of Barack Obama's ISIS policy, which is not stopping terror.
3. The Democratic Party’s "embrace of grievance is pitting Americans against one other," demonizing police and portraying America as oppressive.
