'Harry Potter''s Radcliffe Hits Trump,
Compares Him to Voldemort

Actor Daniel Radcliffe, known best as "Harry Potter" in film adaptations of J.K. Rowling's book series, criticized Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump in an interview with Sky News.
Radcliffe compared Trump to Potter's foil, Lord Voldemort, the feared villain of the wizarding world:
"I sort of think Donald Trump might not be as ideologically pure as Voldemort," he said, adding that he questions how much of what New York businessman says that he "really believes."
"My thing on Trump is that he feels like more like an opportunist...and he sort of hides behind the sort of thing that 'ah, I'm just an entertainer'."
"That comparison is certainly not without its merits," he said.
Radcliffe was not the first person tied to the franchise to criticize Trump, nor to compare him to 'He Who Must Not Be Named'.
Responding to Trump's stated plan in 2015 to curtail immigration of Muslims to the United States, Rowling tweeted "How horrible. Voldemort was nowhere near as bad."
