Who cares if the admissions committee made a mistake and let a scumbag in? Who cares if someone worked for a good law firm before leaving (and under WHAT circumstances? We will never know -- but not everyone leaves of their own volition, do they?)

If you put garbage in a gold-plated serving dish, it's still garbage.
