3D printing industry...
Its my belief those who invest early in the 3D printing industry will garner similar rewards as early investors did in IBM and Apple.
The tricky part is figuring out which companies will be successful and which will falter.
Here's my predictions in no particular order:
DDD - 3D systems will probably end up over $50 per share within the next decade or sooner
SGLB - The most affordable stock right now that actually has a working system and is in talks with GE Aviation.
ONVO - This is probably the most affordable 3D stock right now for the average investor. Still at a low $4 per share. Their technology may result in a share price of over $30 per share within the next decade or sooner
VJET - Also relatively affordable. Started back in 1995, this company excels in 3D printed molds. My prediction is a share price over $30 per share within the next decade or sooner
SSYS - Share price is too rich for my blood.
As of the date of this post, 3D printing is a novel idea in that the majority of homes do not have a 3D printer. It is my belief that within the next 10 to 15 years, 90% or more of homes will have at least one.
It is also my belief that while CNC machines will still have their place in the manufacturing of goods, 3D printing will replace most of the manufacturing process from intricate jet engines to household knives. Just like people in the 70s saw no need for a personal computer, "Who needs a computer in the house???"... people don't see a need for a 3D printer... yet.
