With all the troubling news coming out of Charlotte, here's a feel-good story that's sure to make you smile.
A North Carolina mother shared two touching photos on Facebook after her little boy decided to send some love to Charlotte police officers.
Deanna Hooker explained in the Facebook post that her five-year-old son, Jayden, woke up Tuesday night and was scared by the helicopters and sirens outside their house.
When Jayden heard on the radio about police officers getting injured during the protests, he asked if he could bring them donuts and give them hugs to thank them for all they do.
Deanna took Jayden to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department headquarters where he - while wearing an adorable "Free Hugs" sign - gave out hugs and donuts to officers.
"Grateful for CMPD and all the men and women in blue who sacrifice their lives every day to protect our city," Deanna wrote in the Facebook post. "We appreciate you."
The post has quickly gone viral on the Love What Matters Facebook page with thousands of likes and hundreds of shares.
