Global Medium/Heavy-Duty OEM Trucks 2014-2019: World Market Research of the Industry, Competitors & Opportunities
M2 - Tue Mar 31, 6:34AM CDT
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/z38mlv/global) has announced the addition of the "Global Medium/Heavy-Duty OEM Trucks 2014 - 201: World Market Research of the Industry, Competitors & Opportunities" report to their offering. This report provides a detailed analysis of the global market for medium-and heavy-duty trucks and a comprehensive analysis of the 13 leading companies producing these vehicles, as well as the competitive environment in which they operate. Truck manufacturers divide trucks into eight classes according to gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR). This report focuses only on medium-and heavy-duty trucks, i.e. Classes 4 through 8 (GVWR of 14,001 lbs. and up). The global market for medium-and heavy-duty trucks is large and is growing rapidly. With the exception of 2012, the global medium-and heavy-duty truck market has grown at a strong rate in both value and volume terms. Production in 2014 is estimated at 4.69 million units, worth over USD230 billion. Production grew at a CAGR (compounded annual growth rate) of 8.8% in volume and 9.9% in value between 2009 and 2013 and is forecast to rise annually 6.7% in volume and 9.1% in value through 2019. In addition to analysis on overall global truck production, regional analysis is also offered: Asia-Pacific, with a special section on China; NAFTA, with production data on the US, Canada and Mexico; Europe, with Western Europe specifically addressed; and the rest of the world (ROW), with separate sections on Japan, India, Brazil and Russia. The Asia-Pacific region is the largest producer of medium-and heavy-duty trucks, accounting for an estimated 48% of production value in 2014. However, the NAFTA region is forecast to show the highest growth rate during the 2014-2019 period, 13% annually. Growth will be much lower during this period in the Asia-Pacific region (CAGR of 8.3%), Europe (7.6%) and the ROW (6.6%). China is the world's largest producer of medium-and heavy-duty trucks. Production is estimated at 1.23 million units, worth USD69.3 billion in 2014. Lower engine emission standards in China have prevented the Chinese truck makers from competing on a level playing field with the leading international truck producers, prohibiting Chinese truck makers from entering developed markets. As the domestic market increasingly becoming mature, the leading truck producers are expanding their sales network overseas. And as China gradually rolls out the National IV Emission standard, additional opportunities will be available to the leading truck producers. Individual company profiles, in addition to product and financial overviews, may include commentary on topics such as outlooks, trends, strategies, proprietary technology, regional markets, and partnerships and joint ventures, among others. Key Topics Covered: 1. Preface 2. Introduction 3. Executive Summary 4. Medium- and Heavy-Duty Truck Market 5. Company Profiles - CNHTC Jinan Truck Co., Ltd. - Daimler AG - Eicher Motors Limited - Hino Motors Ltd. - Kamaz OAO - MAN SE - Navistar International Corporation - Oshkosh Corporation - PACCAR Inc - Scania AB - Sinotruk (Hong Kong) Limited - Tata Motors - Volvo For more information visit http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/z38mlv/global

Global Medium/Heavy-Duty OEM Trucks and Tier 1 Components Market Report 2014
M2 - Mon Nov 24, 8:59AM CST
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/qxrn3x/global) has announced the addition of the "Global Medium/Heavy-Duty OEM Trucks and Tier 1 Components" report to their offering. Medium- and heavy-duty trucks represent a $231 billion global market, growing 8.8% annually in volume and 9.1% in value. This report provides a detailed analysis of the global market for 13 key medium- and heavy-duty truck OEMs (Classes 4 through and 18 of their key Tier 1 component suppliers, as well as the competitive environment in which they operate. Topics include global, regional and major country production volumes and values; prices; market shares; the competitive environment; and mid- and long-range forecasts. In addition, there are in-depth discussions of issues facing the industry, such as profitability and growth strategies, product mixes, new technologies, aftermarket services, service revenues, current and emerging markets, value chains, restructuring, R&D, and financial performance, among others. Extensive profiles of 31 public companies involved in the production of medium- and heavy-duty trucks and components are presented. Illustrations include 81 tables and 140 figures. The Asia-Pacific Region is dominant, with 48% of 2014 global production value. The Chinese market is the largest in the world but is dominated by low-cost, locally produced vehicles that offer basic, less sophisticated technology than their Western counterparts. However a huge opportunity exists in China if the adoption of Western technology escalates, as has happened in Russia. Japanese OEMs still only have mid-tier status but environmental regulations bode well for their growth by virtue of their engine technologies. The fastest growth market is NAFTA; Europe and Asia Pacific are projected to grow at slower rates. The report can be put to immediate use for sales and market planning, M&A identification, competitive share analysis, alliances and technology transfer considerations.
