I MPT'd my ass to a comfortable retirement.
Re-balancing to 'more aggressive', much more, during the Clinton market and again during the Obama market, blithely and profitably ignoring the apocalyptic market 'predictions' of the righties!
Because the political right cannot divorce their politics, their fears and their wishful thinking, from their investment strategy, they are one of the easiest contrarian investment barometers to follow.
