In the latest edition of Campus Craziness, Brit Hume reported that students at one New Jersey college were forced to change the name of their “American Barbecue” because the descriptor could be deemed offensive.
The assistant residence director at Ramapo College in Mahwah, near the New York State line, told the students the term ‘American’ could be considered offensive.
“We apologize, but we will not co-sponsor [this] with you,” they said.
Administrators told Fox News they deny trying to alter the event and “regret the confusion.”
A little farther north, Cornell University announced it would join Brown University in stocking men’s restrooms with tampons and other women’s hygiene products.
Over at Brown, campus crime alerts have ceased to mention a suspect’s ethnicity over fears of racial profiling.
