Hillary Clinton expressed outrage over the police shooting and killing Terence Crutcher, an unarmed black man, on Steve Harvey's radio show Tuesday.
"How many times do we have to see this in our country?" Clinton said. "In Tulsa, an unarmed man with his hands in the air. This is just unbearable. And it needs to be intolerable."
Lt. Col. Allen West (Ret.) said on "Fox and Friends" this morning that Clinton is speaking out because she knows she's losing support in the black community.
"I think she’s only at 76 percent. That’s one of the lowest that you’ve seen with any Democratic presidential nominee," West said.
He pointed out that there were multiple calls to avoid rushing to judgment in the wake of the New York and Jersey bombings, but that's exactly what Clinton is doing in the case of this police shooting.
"We need to sit back and allow the system and the process take place. There will be an investigation. If there’s wrongdoing, we’ll get the facts," West said.
He noted that Clinton is not doing that, and it's for purely political reasons.
"So there is an incredible duplicity and hypocrisy that is out there, and this is all about electoral patronage."
