As part of the 68 th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, which took place on September 18 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, the creative arts awards honor the behind-the-scenes crafts essential to television production.

The picture editing, sound editing, and sound mixing teams behind Game of Thrones trusted Avid audio and video solutions to create the hit series. Sound post-production company, Formosa Group, used Avid Pro Tools for both sound editing and sound mixing for Game of Thrones . Re-recording Mixers Onnalee Blank, Richard Dyer, Ronan Hill and Mathew Waters were nominated and won the award for Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series, and Supervising Sound Editor Tim Kimmel was nominated for Outstanding Sound Editing for a Series.
Music Mixer, Randy Faustino was nominated for Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Variety or Series Special for his work on The Voice .
