'Black Ops 2' smashes sales records: Over $500 million in first 24 hours

Just a short week after Microsoft announced that Halo 4 sold over $228 million within it's first 24 hour, Activision came through and smashed that number... as well as their own.

In a press release earlier this morning, Activision announced that " Call of Duty : Black Ops 2 " has sold over $500 million within it's first 24 hours of release. Five hundred million dollars in 24 hours. Not only does that set records across the board, it smashes their own record set by Modern Warfare 3 at $400 million last year.
