Charlie, I want to say two things.
First, you can't short Grey stocks! All that shorties can do is covering their short they had from prior the suspension, but under no circumstances can there be shorted, and since there are no MM's they can't short either.
Second, those short volume websites are totally useless! Its an ongoing urban myth, but you can NEVER rely on them! There is a huge misconception about the FINRA short numbers, which these websites utilize to draw their charts etc. You see, when a MM executes an order he has to clear or settle the trade, and although this usually happens in fractions of seconds, sometimes it can take longer, especially when there is a high demand for a stock. MM sell you shorted shares to keep up with the demand and not always can they clear their trades, which are then designated as short. The FINRA short numbers contain even shares long that are not settled yet, so therefore you can NEVER rely on those numbers, NEVER! Anyone who says otherwise has no clue of what they're talking about, or are just keeping the urban myth alive! The only reliable short numbers are the bi-weekly short reports on OTC Markets, or on the FINRA OTCBB website.
