Shining Bright in an Unstable Gold Market
JCN Newswire - Fri Sep 16, 9:23AM CDT
Gold prices went through a week of uncertainty due to mixed economic data. First there were weak retail sales data, which led gold prices to surge, yet investors remained uncertain how the data will affect the upcoming decision of the Federal Reserve on September 20-21. There is a possibility that strong jobs and the increase in household income data will overshadow disappointing retail sales, giving the Fed enough encouragement to raise interest rates. The U.S Dollar has slightly increased in value, and as a result, gold prices dropped Thursday, yet remained strongly positioned in their expected range. Brazil Resources Inc. Weak Data Contradicts FOMC's Optimism as Gold Surges
CNW Group - Tue Sep 06, 10:28AM CDT
Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen gave an important speech recently, claiming that the case for an interest rate increase had grown stronger. This is due to strong jobs reports in recent month and higher consumption rates within the United States. Yet, even though the state of the economy was approached with optimism by the FOMC, soon after new reports have shown that uncertainty still weighs on the market and the Dollar.
