MHPS Receives Order for 2 Steam Turbine and Generator Sets For Coal-fired Power Plant in the Philippines

Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems, Ltd. (MHPS) has received an order for two sets of steam turbine and generator for Units 3 and 4 of a coal-fired power plant to be constructed at Limay, the Philippines, by an independent power producer (IPP) under the corporate umbrella of San Miguel Corporation (SMC), a local conglomerate. Each unit will have a power generating capacity of 150 megawatts (MW). In 2013 MHPS also supplied steam turbines and generators for the Limay plant's Units 1 and 2 to Formosa Heavy Industries Corporation (FHI), a Taiwanese company in charge of the plant's EP (engineering and procurement). The newly ordered equipment is scheduled for delivery in April and July 2016.
