I imposed
my biblical principals on the Pastor Parish Relation board interviewing a new pastor.
The pastor was Female, Pro Abortion and Pro Homosexual. The list goes on... Not exactly a fit for a relatively conservative church. The Bishops secretary pull me aside and said. You don't want to be one of those churches. I am thinking to myself, I represent a portion of 250 souls in the church. I am thinking. yes probably do.
Pastor Parish Relation Board was over ridden by the Bishop and Pastor was appointed. 4 weeks later I and another lady are dismissed. ^ months later there isn't 50 people coming to church. Went to visit 2 months ago and their wasn't 20 people there and The Pastor had moved on to become the new Bishop.
So no I am not surprised. UMC is most likely getting ready to split over it real left wing liberal agenda over the last 10 years. There change in the abortion stance was probably a measure to help stop that process. However if you don't purge the clergy then it not much use.
They got into this Love movement about 10 years ago and through out the old testament.
