This reminds me of commercial real estate acquisitions. It can take 6+ months from the time you initiate a deal to the time it closes. You have the Letter of Intent, Purchase Contract, Due Diligence, Closing, etc. The whole time you are dealing with 2 teams of lawyers who always find something to clarify. Meanwhile, there's a lot going on behind the scenes, but no one would ever know until the news hits after the closing. With BLTA, people assume that you can do all this (identify the plane, negotiate lease, raise the capital, handle due diligence, sign the contracts, etc, etc) all within a short window. The more one knows about this process, the more optimistic one might be.
