They apparently feel that true long term investors somehow not only need their opinions, but they need to hear it over and over, and that they have a right to piss off the majority of long term investors in the company that use this board by repeatedly insinuating that our opinions/strategies with this investment are all wrong.
They may have a right to their opinion, but the board wasn't necessarily created as an anti-Rocky Mountain High Brands board with the intentions of making sure nobody actually bought-and-held the stock, so while contrary opinions might be tolerated, enough is enough. Once all mods feel negative on a company they should be on a bashing board like LieHub, not a pro investment board like this one. Understand that concept? Likers here, haters there. Crashers eventually get the boot.
If I were a member of a club consisting of micro brewers and some anti-alcohol protesters kept crashing our meetings, I'd feel no guilt in tossing them out and eventually pursuing restraining orders if necessary. If enough members here agree that dishonest manipulation in the form of posts containing fact twisting misinformation, the use of distraction/disruption tactics, or they're obviously liars based on contradicting posts and PM messages which confirm it, then it's easier to reduce the distraction that would be pissing matches by simply deleting some of their attempts.
VERY OFTEN when logical or perfectly sound, fact based contrary argument is presented by long term investors like myself, the challenger refuses to respect the opinions of pro company/brand long term investors on the board and insists on keeping the debate alive and heating it up using misinformation and questions which can't be answered without inside information, as well as snide and disrespectful remarks, which draws blatting and whining about the arguments. NEGATIVE DISTRACTION.
They don't want to make the pitch just in PM's, because it won't get them the desired effect. They'll use both board and PM's to try and discredit challengers (especially mods) who don't post their PM's for all to see. The PM's often reveal their true agenda and are attempts to bring a mod down on them while it appears to other members to be unjustified. That's an old stealth tactic, but not stealthy enough.
