Trump: 'If We Would've Taken the Oil, You Wouldn't
Post# of 50636
During NBC's Commander in Chief Forum, Donald Trump said ISIS would not have formed had the U.S. captured Iraq's oil reserves.
"I've always said, shouldn't be there, but if we're gonna get out, take the oil. If we would've taken the oil, you wouldn't have ISIS because ISIS formed with the power and wealth of the oil."
Trump said the U.S. is the only country who spends $3 trillion and loses "thousands and thousands of lives" and then "what happens is we get nothing."
"It used to be to the victor belonged the spoils. Now, there was no victor there, believe me, there was no victor."
He said that one of the benefits had the U.S. taken the oil was that ISIS would not have been able to use it to "fuel themselves."
