Main Street Capital Corporation (NYSE: MAIN) ("Main Street" is pleased to announce that it has received a license from the U.S. Small Business Administration ("SBA" to operate a third Small Business Investment Company ("SBIC". The third SBIC license provides Main Street with up to $125 million of additional attractive, long-term, fixed interest rate debt capital through the issuance of SBA-guaranteed debentures. The maximum amount of SBA-guaranteed debentures that affiliated SBIC funds can have outstanding was increased from $225 million to $350 million as a result of the 2016 omnibus spending bill approved by Congress and signed into law by the President in December 2015.

Main Street Capital Corporation (NYSE: MAIN) ("Main Street" is pleased to announce that its Board of Directors declared regular monthly cash dividends of $0.185 per share for each of October, November and December 2016. These monthly dividends, which will be payable pursuant to the table below, total $0.555 per share for the fourth quarter of 2016 and represent a 3% increase from both the regular monthly dividends paid for the fourth quarter of 2015 and the regular monthly dividends declared for the third quarter of 2016. Since its October 2007 initial public offering, Main Street has periodically increased the amount of its regular monthly dividends paid per share, and has never reduced its regular monthly dividend amount per share. Including all dividends declared to date, Main Street will have paid $18.33 per share in cumulative cash dividends since its October 2007 initial public offering at $15.00 per share.
