Deca Technologies Receives Major Investment for M-Series(TM) Fan-out Growth

TEMPE, AZ--(Marketwired - Sep 1, 2016) - Deca Technologies, a wafer level electronic interconnect solutions provider to the semiconductor industry, announced today the receipt of an additional $51.5 million investment from a leading electronics company. Combined with the previously announced investment from ASE of $60 million, and following the repurchase of $20.6 million of shares held by Cypress Semiconductor Corp., Deca will have approximately $90.8 million to be directed toward development of increased capacity for its M-Series™ Fan-Out Wafer Level Packaging (FOWLP) and general corporate purposes. ASE and Deca have also consummated a technology transfer and license agreement whereby ASE will install M-Series™ capacity in its fab in Kaohsiung, Taiwan and the parties will cooperate to scale the technology.
