(the "Bank" (www.home24bank.com), reported net income of $3.3 million for the first quarter of 2016, a decrease of $613,000, or 15%, compared to the fourth quarter of 2015 and an increase of $502,000, or 18%, compared to the first quarter of 2015. The first quarter of 2016 and fourth quarter of 2015 include merger-related expenses, net of taxes, totaling $398,000 and $407,000, respectively, related to the acquisition of Louisiana Bancorp, Inc. ("Louisiana Bancorp". Excluding merger-related expenses, net income for the first quarter of 2016 totaled $3.7 million, a decrease of 14% compared to the fourth quarter of 2015 and an increase of 32% compared to the first quarter of 2015.

Home Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ: HBCP), the parent company for Home Bank, N.A. has reported net income of USD4.0 million for the fourth quarter of 2015, an increase of USD1.1 million, or 37 percent, compared to the third quarter of 2015 and an increase of USD1.2 million, or 41 percent, compared to the fourth quarter of 2014, the company said. The fourth and third quarters of 2015 include merger-related expenses, net of taxes, totaling USD407,000 and USD527,000, respectively, related to the acquisition of Louisiana Bancorp, Inc. Excluding merger-related expenses, net income for the fourth quarter of 2015 totaled USD4.4 million, an increase of 28 percent compared to the third quarter of 2015 and an increase of 56 percent compared to the fourth quarter of 2014. The company board of directors approved a USD0.01 increase in its cash dividend to USD0.09 per share payable on February 19, 2016, to shareholders of record as of February 8, 2016. Loans totaled USD1.2 billion at December 31, 2015, an increase of USD16.7 million, or 1 percent, from September 30, 2015, and an increase of USD315.4 million, or 35 percent, from December 31, 2014. Total deposits were USD1.2 billion at December 31, 2015, an increase of USD22.5 million, or 2 percent, from September 30, 2015, and an increase of USD250.6 million, or 25 percent, from December 31, 2014. Net interest income for the fourth quarter of 2015 totaled USD15.8 million, an increase of USD2.2 million, or 16 percent, compared to the third quarter of 2015, and an increase of USD2.8 million, or 22 percent, compared to the fourth quarter of 2014.
