The Company expects to deliver the NRE services over the next twelve months, starting this quarter. Giga-tronics Incorporated (Nasdaq:GIGA) reported today net sales for the first quarter of fiscal 2017 of $3.4 million, a decrease of 23% as compared to the $4.4 million reported for the first quarter of fiscal 2016. Net sales from the Company's Microsource business unit (Microsource) decreased approximately $941,000 from $2.3 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2016 to $1.3 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2017. The decrease was primarily due to the winding down of a $6.5 million non-recurring engineering order ("NRE Order" to develop a variant of our high performance fast tuning YIG RADAR filter which will move into production beginning in the second quarter of fiscal 2017, under an associated multi-year $10.0 million YIG production order ("YIG Production Order" which is expected to ship through fiscal 2020. Net sales for the Company's Giga-tronics business unit was $2.1 million for both quarters. ("Astronics", a wholly owned subsidiary of Astronics Corporation (NASDAQ:ATRO). Upon signing, Astronics paid $850,000 for the intellectual property of the product line. Giga-tronics is estimating a net gain in the quarter ending June 25, 2016 of $650,000 after related expenses are subtracted from the sales price. Astronics is also purchasing approximately $500,000 of related materials inventory from Giga-tronics. The materials inventory will transfer throughout July and August of 2016.

Giga-tronics Incorporated (Nasdaq:GIGA) reported today net sales for the fourth fiscal quarter ended March 26, 2016 of $2.7 million, a decrease of 37% as compared to the $4.3 million reported for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2015. The Company's Microsource business unit (Microsource) saw a decrease of approximately $900,000 in net sales, from $1.8 million in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2015 to $904,000 in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2016, associated with a three month gap in high performance YIG RADAR filter production caused by the completion of an annual customer contract and the timing of the start of the next annual contract. Giga-tronics Reports Second Quarter FY 2016 Results

Giga-tronics Incorporated (Nasdaq:GIGA) reported today net sales for the second quarter of fiscal 2016 of $3.1 million, a 39% decrease as compared to $5.1 million for the second quarter of fiscal 2015. Net sales for the six month period ended September 26, 2015 were $7.4 million, a decrease of 23%, compared to $9.6 million for the six month period ended September 27, 2014. The decreases in net sales are primarily due to the winding down of a $6.2 million nonrecurring YIG engineering (NRE) order, a decrease in the size of the Navy 8003 orders, from $2.4 million in fiscal 2015 to $1.5 million in fiscal 2016, and delays in the second quarter of fiscal 2016 of shipments due to late arriving materials from our suppliers and technical issues associated with the new Advanced Signal Generator.
