I answered the question on voter ID, repeatedly. And with evidence to back up my answers. That may be 'spin' in your backward view, but in the reality based world it's not. Again, it's not me but rather the courts that are calling the Voter ID laws, well, unlawful. LOL!

Quote:
There Will Be No Redemption for North Carolina's Voter ID Law
The Supreme Court just made sure it stays struck down.

BY CHARLES P. PIERCE
AUG 31, 2016

Thanks to the political genius of Mitch McConnell, the newly insane state of North Carolina will not be suppressing votes the way that it wanted to this November. Per The Los Angeles Times:

The justices said they were deadlocked 4-4 and would not intervene, leaving in place the state's rules for casting ballots and early voting that were used before 2013.

The vote split on ideological lines. The court's decision is a victory for civil rights advocates and Obama administration lawyers who had challenged North Carolina's rules as violating the Voting Rights Act.

The outcome also may give a slight boost to Democrats, including Hillary Clinton, who will need strong support from minority voters to prevail in November.

This is a boot in the eye of N.C. Governor Pat McCrory, his pet state legislature, and Chief Justice John Roberts, who has spent his entire career trying to undermine the gains made by the Civil Rights Movement and now finds himself one Scalia short when he needs one the most.

And, again, I believe, somewhere on a distant veranda, Merrick Garland is sipping another cold one and pondering where he'll be drawing a check come next January.
