Shock Report: Clinton Aide Abedin’s Mother Proponent of Radical Muslim Ideology

Controversy arose earlier this week after a New York Post report said Hillary Clinton’s top aide Huma Abedin was listed as an assistant editor for a radical Muslim publication called the Journal of Minority Muslim Affairs.

The group is based in and funded by Saudi Arabia.

Wednesday on Fox and Friends, Post reporter Paul Sperry discussed how Abedin’s mother, Dr. Saleha Mahmood Abedin, who also worked for the organization, has been a proponent of several views deemed radical by Western society.

“The book that she published, through the same institute Huma worked for all those years, actually puts out this religious justification for really medieval treatment of women—stoning adulterous wives, marital rape, killing women who have left faith, and genital mutilation of young girls,” Sperry told Tucker Carlson.

“[There is a] video of [Saleha Abedin] sympathizing with men who beat their wives…excusing domestic battery,” he said.

“It is becoming harder and harder for Hillary to reconcile this, as this woman could be a spokeswoman for the Taliban [in the way she is preaching].”

Sperry said the association between the Democratic presidential nominee and her aide’s mother was not simply casual:

“Hillary’s had active relationship with mother. She visited her in Saudi Arabia and invited her to the State Department.”

Carlson contended the situation could be subject to a double standard if reversed: “If Republicans said this, Hillary would denounce it, but if a Muslim says it, it is another form of worship.”
