After San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick decided to sit during the national anthem at an NFL preseason game in protest of America's "oppression" of African Americans, we've seen reactions from 49ers fans, veterans and more.
Now, all-time NFL great Jerry Rice has spoken out and criticized Kaepernick for disrespecting the American flag and national anthem.
Rice, widely regarded as the greatest wide receiver to ever set foot on the gridiron, said on Twitter, "All lives matter. So much going on in this world today. Can we all just get along! Colin, I respect your stance but don't disrespect the flag."
The Hall of Famer's tweet struck a nerve with many people, quickly getting more than 7,000 retweets and 13,000 likes.
