Europe Cross-Border B2C E-Commerce 2015
M2 - Fri Aug 28, 11:29AM CDT
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/mpbwt8/europe) has announced the addition of the "Europe Cross-Border B2C E-Commerce 2015" report to their offering. The cross-border online shopping trend is growing around the world and Europe is no exception. The region's share of global cross-border online retail sales is predicted to amount to one quarter within the next ten years. The share of online shoppers making purchases directly from foreign online retailers differs from country to country within Europe. Among the largest markets, Italy, Spain, Russia and the UK led in penetration of online shoppers making cross-border purchases at least once a year, as of early 2015. Of all the countries in the EU, small markets such as Cyprus, Malta and Luxembourg boasted the highest cross-border online shopper penetration last year. Generally, the share of online shoppers in the EU buying online from other EU member states was higher than the share of those buying from the rest of the world. The largest B2C E-Commerce markets in Western Europe, the UK and Germany, are attractive destinations for cross-border online shoppers around the world. More than a quarter of all orders dispatched from online merchants in the UK were shipped internationally last summer, and in Germany over half of online merchants were selling to more than one country internationally. Italy and Spain saw their cross-border E-Commerce exports increase as well, though they were still outweighed by imports. In Eastern Europe, cross-border online retail sales to Russia more than doubled in 2014. Chinese E-Commerce marketplace AliExpress significantly gained in popularity among Russian online shoppers and another China-based player, JD.com launched a Russian-language version of its website to gain a share of tens of millions of online orders shipped from China to Russia every year. In Poland, as well, AliExpress ranked in the top 3 overseas E-Commerce websites used by online shoppers, behind eBay and Amazon. Overall, the cross-border E-Commerce trend is expected to persist in all European sub-regions in the near future. Key Questions Answered: - How is cross-border B2C E-Commerce evolving in Europe and around the world? - Which countries in Europe have the highest online shopper penetration rate? - Which countries are targeted by cross-border online shoppers across Europe? - How high are cross-border B2C E-Commerce exports and imports of some major European markets? Companies Mentioned - ASOS - Aliexpress - Amazon - Apple - Casino Guichard-Perrachon S.A - eBay - JD.com - Liberty Interactive Corporation - Macy'S Inc. - Otto Gmbh & Co KG - Qiwi - Suning Commerce Group Co. - Tesco PLC - Ulmart - Vkontakte - Wal-Mart - Yandex.Money For more information visit http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/mpbwt8/europe

Asia-Pacific Cross-Border B2C E-Commerce 2015: Asia-Pacific to Account for Nearly Half of Global Cross-Border B2C E-Commerce
M2 - Fri Aug 28, 11:13AM CDT
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/btd3rq/asiapacific) has announced the addition of the "Asia-Pacific Cross-Border B2C E-Commerce 2015" report to their offering. Asia-Pacific is the largest region in the world in online retail sales and continues to grow rapidly. Cross-border online shopping is an important trend in this region, which is reported to have the potential to account for nearly half of all cross-border B2C E-Commerce sales worldwide in 2020. Cross-border online shopper penetration throughout the region varied from a low one-digit percentage in Indonesia to a high of over two-thirds in Australia, as of the beginning of 2015. China is the key destination of both cross-border online imports and exports. Close to a third of active online shoppers made purchases across borders in China last year, while China itself ranked at least in the top 3 online shopping destinations of consumers in countries such as Russia, Brazil, and many others. China's major E-Commerce companies, Alibaba and JD.com, compete on both fields, using their marketplaces to enable foreign merchants to access Chinese online consumers and China-based merchants to access overseas online shoppers. Another major B2C E-Commerce market, Japan, has intense cross-border online trade with China and the USA, with cross-border B2C E-Commerce exports to these countries from Japan outweighing imports in 2014. In South Korea, as well, the USA and China were the top two destinations for cross-border online shoppers last year, while the most purchased product categories were clothing and health supplements. The emerging Southeast Asian markets also participate in the cross-border trend, led by Singapore. Key Questions Answered: - How large is Asia-Pacific's share forecasted to become in global cross-border B2C E-Commerce? - Which countries in Asia-Pacific have the highest online shopper penetration rate? - Which countries and product categories are targeted by cross-border online shoppers across the region? Companies Mentioned - Alibaba - Amazon.inc - Apple Inc - Casino Guichard-Perrachon S.Aa. - eBay - JD.com - Liberty Interactive Corporation - Macy's Inc - Otto GmbH & Co HG - Rakuten - Suning Commerce Group Co. Tesco PLC. Analyst Report - BrokerBank Securities
PR Newswire - Thu Jun 18, 6:00AM CDT
Tesco PLC. (OTCBB: TSCDY) a European retailer with retail banking and insurance services through its subsidiary, Tesco Bank, recently received a underperform rating from Credit Suisse at initiation of coverage. The company's margins have been suffering for the past four years with a steady decline experienced in net profit moving into the red as of FY 2014. Additionally, Moody's has issued a report stating that it is not expected for the company to experience recovery in margins for at least twelve to eighteen months. There is a risk of an intensifying price war if the big four European retailers are not able to develop strategies to operate successfully with lower market shares. With the exception of Asda, none of the other three players have the capacity to engage in many more rounds of price cuts as they have limited financial capacity to absorb further margin declines.
