Uhh, the GOP platform is decidedly 'pro smoke stack'.
And only a hyper-partisan with a pronounced contra-factual approach to issues, similar to your own, believes your description of the Dem platform.
There are few issue more 'people control' oriented than anti-freedom of choice. Because how DO you enforce the GOP position on this issue? How DO you insinuate prayer into public schools?
The GOP platform is an authoritarian's delight. You NEED 'people control' to implement the planks in the platform
