I don't consider this to be a controversial issue among scientists but more about a political scam, I mean you said you've seen it first hand. So is it all about ocean levels? It sounds like you have already made up your mind. I suggest you look at the only research that is out there with CO2 data disproving every claim made by those pumping this. Vostok research station in Antarctica which is Russian facility where this data on CO2 is from. Don't believe me or the other side but do read any of the many articles about the research. I doubt you are a hard core believer in global warming, but ocean levels, polar bears, cherry-picked temperatures, etc will be used to fool. It is a religion to some of these crazies who will relate anything and everything to global warming-- they are the ones who make up the rules and change them. So if its cold in your city "it's global warming" if it's hot "it's global warming" if your dog barks too much one week "it's global warming" if Prince, Michael Jackson, and Whitney Houston die in a 7 year period, you guessed it "it was because of global warming" and on and on
