By the end of the American Revolution, slavery had proven unprofitable in the North and was dying out. Don't kid your self. Study a bit more with regards to the greatest abomination in our country's history. Then associate that with our current migrant situation in the fields today. It was about money...and a disenfranchised vote. It started many years before.....and the North sought revenge for cheap labor via tariffs et al. We had two halves of the pie.one being industrial..and one being agricultural. The industrialists didn't like losing cash......
It's an ugly truth.
