Catpole. Yes - exactly why Investors Hangout has taken over from iHub as the forum of choice for serious traders wanting factual information on a number of stocks. The features for following credible posters and rapidly accessing Most Posted / Viewed / Read boards and posts are also superior.
The very well-thought out, far more stringent TOS here allow the Moderator and the Assistants he appoints to deal effectively with "bashing" - all forms of which involve one or more of the items in the extract below - and would also be effective for dealing with "pumping" if there was a deliberate intention to deceive. In addition, IH Admin back up their Moderators in terms of endorsing ban requests in a very robust and timely manner.
TOS Reminder - usual grounds for deleting most posts by bashers at IH:
Contributions must not:
- be likely to deceive any person.
- cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety.
- be likely to harass, upset, embarrass, alarm or annoy any other person.
["scaremongering" posts covered by all / any of the above]
Spamming:
- continually posting the same topic or post more than three times in a 24 hour period.
Off Topic:
- No trolling (posting an obviously negative post/thread to elicit an angry response).
- Be respectful and polite to other message board members.
