Who profits from keeping the price down? Could it possibly be a big pharma that wants to make a deal with CTIX on the cheap? Could they possibly be funding an entity like a hedge fund (so that they are not directly involved) to try to keep price down?
Those who think that this is paranoid and big pharma doesn't pull dirty deals need only read an article about the Epi-Pen theft of wealth from families with allergic kids. (Particularly sickening that laws were passed requiring parents to give their kids' schools 2 Epi-Pens every year -- and then the company hikes the price to $700 for something that costs them $1 apiece to manufacture.)
And then there are people like Martin Shkreli running these companies.
People have accused Sanofi of these kinds of unethical actions in the past. Draw your own conclusions.
