Dr. Nathan Stott
Director of Materials
Quantum Materials Corp
Dr. Nathan E. Stott recently joined as the Director of Materials at Quantum Materials Corporation (QMC) where he is currently leading in the development and high-capacity production of cadmium-based, cadmium-free, and lead-based semiconductor quantum dot materials for solid state lighting, display, and photovoltaic applications. He earned his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from MIT in 2004 working on the development of synthetic routes to and applications of high-quality quantum dots from less expensive, safer, and greener non-organometallic precursors in the laboratory of Professor Moungi G. Bawendi and is an author on multiple publications for this research.
He is the key inventor on multiple patents for different materials processes from his graduate research that began issuing and generating revenue in 2003 and are currently licensed by QD Vision, Nanosys, LifeTech, and Samsung Electronics.
Prior to joining QMC, Nathan performed and lead R&D at Cabot Corporation, Samsung, Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Pacific Light Technologies (PLT), and Seoul Semiconductor where he has worked on nanomaterials synthetic processes, nanoparticle-based inks, inkjet-printed electronics, fuel cells, metamaterials, bulk heterojunction photovoltaic cells, and LED downconverter technologies for solid state lighting and display applications .
He is a key and primary inventor on multiple patents and patent applications in addition to an author on multiple publications resulting from his work with these companies. While at Samsung, Nathan was a co-recipient of a Team Technology Award for Inkjet-Printable Copper Traces, was a lecturer for the CTO Technology Lecture Series courses at Yonsei and Sungkyunkwan Universities, and tested level 6 out of 6 on the “Korean Proficiency Examination (KPE) – Speaking Fluency” national standardized test.

.......One may think a company like QMC is a step down from some of the companies he's worked for in the past.........and helped produce revenue(s) since 2003.
I tend to think a Man like that has a good idea about the needs of the Future and saw QMC as an Opportunity.
.....Great Vision(s) Start w/an Idea
