The permit issued by the NYSDEC was an air permit. It showed that the plant which PTOI purchased from Donghe could be run and the amount of pollution produced was acceptable.
With the help of Mr. Bordynuik, investors confused the air permit with some sort of validation that PTOI's pyrolysis was commercially viable.
Don't get me wrong...it's good that the burning the off-gasses from the pyrolysis process wasn't overly pollutive to the air...but the air permit doesn't mean what you think it means.
