This should give you perspective on this industry, when I retired in 2012, the KC-X tanker bid had already been awarded and was under protest by the losing bidder. The RFP for the KC-X had been started at least five years earlier.
8-10 years to get a military aircraft bid from RFP to award and another 5 years to roll out the first KC-46a.
For those of you who are good at math; how long is it a reasonable amount of time to consider TPAC a start-up company?
