This isn't a phenomenon exclusive to NTEK. Many companies do the exact same thing....I've been with a few of them...
If you go through what they have revealed to this point you can deduce a lot of possible reasons..
Here's my little bit of speculation based on the behavior of other companies in transition.....
They are in the middle of a reorg, they have deals in the works that haven't been finalized, there may be SEC concerns, they have other partner companies interests to consider before information is relayed and they have other parties that don't want them to succeed. Every time the release speculative information on what they hope their progress will be they get trashed.
Again, gauging progress using a short term share price that is manipulated is essentially no gauge at all. It's exactly what the folks trying to sink the company want you to focus on. I think the company knows that about the share price as well.
I think the company is more concerned about a share price that is sustainable and will benefit shareholders in the long term. There will be short term pain and uncertainty not only for shareholders but for the company as well.
On the other hand ......if you look at the progress and steps NTEK is taking to monetize their technology, to me...that is a much better indicator. In my opinion that is progressing quite nicely.
They just released a workable app on Windows 10 that has that gives NTEK potential exposure to over 300 million customers. To me, that's measurable progress that can be validated with your own portable device. That's just one potentially huge revenue stream that will grow over time. That's just one facet of the plan to get on 95% of streaming devices. We all know the others...
Over the past 1.5+ years NTEK has made more forward progress then they have in all of the years prior to that, at least according to my DD. They are setting up for a long, sustainable, profitable future.
I don't think the company was really focused on that before or they were on the learning curve on exactly how to accomplish that.
The 4K/HDR business cycle is just getting going. The potential customer base hasn't even been tapped yet.
That's what my DD tells me and that's why I am confident in the company as long as they are able to execute in a reasonable fashion.
Guess it's a matter of what your investment goals are or what you consider a reasonable timetable for the company to succeed. Everyone is going to have a different opinion on that...
Either way..that's my thoughts and I hope they succeed for all of our sakes.
