Salty, the 'alternate reality' you and your fellow nutters construct for yourselves', or default to because of intellectual laziness, is mostly funny.
I'm really glad that intellectual laziness isn't fatal. If it were, not only would Columbia be a ghost town but I would go broke buying flowers to send to 100's funerals where the "boxed" were both Pubbie andDimmy.

You 'lather' yourselves up with phony grievances, ass-on-fire fueled misinformation and a range of beliefs not supported by evidence, and then you wonder what happened the day after the presidential election.
AMEN, AMEN. AMEN!!!!!!!!!!! Alas, this is a lesson they learned from Dimmycrats and learned this lesson all too well.

Not surprisingly there's some science to help explain this peculiar phenomenon among righties. Which of course means it will be rejected out of hand. LOL!
I won't reject it at all. However, like the joke you posted, it would just take a tweak or two and I would have something to toss out to some of my librul buds and see what their response would be. For example, I think I could easily take, "As Mooney showed, modern American conservatism is highly correlated with authoritarian inclinations - and authoritarians are strongly inclined to reject any evidence contradicting their prior beliefs." alter it a bit, and make and argument that the Dims are trying to turn our country into an ant hill socialist state with themselves forever at the top, a thin layer of technocrats/bureaucrats in the middle to make sure things are running smoothly, and the rest of us at the bottom whose only purpose in life is to support that which is above us.
Maybe there's something in the Krugman article that could only be applied to Repubbies and never Dimmys but for now, I don't think so.
