The Wisconsin Electric board of directors today declared a quarterly cash dividend of 90 cents a share on the company's Preferred Stock, 3.60% Series, payable June 1, 2016, to stockholders of record on May 13, 2016. The board also declared a quarterly cash dividend of $1.50 a share on the company's Six Per Cent Preferred Stock payable July 31, 2016, to stockholders of record on July 14, 2016.

Fitch Ratings has assigned an 'A+' rating to Wisconsin Electric Power Co.'s (WEPCO) new 4.3% $250 million issuance of senior unsecured debentures due Dec. 15, 2045. The new debentures will rank equally with WEPCO's existing senior unsecured obligations. Net proceeds will be used to repay short-term debt and long-term debt that matures on Dec. 1, 2015, and for working capital and other corporate purposes.

The new notes will rank pari passu with WEPCO's existing senior unsecured obligations. Net proceeds will be used to repay short-term debt, working capital, and other corporate purposes. Fitch last affirmed the Issuer Default Rating and other Security Ratings of WEPCO on Sept 30, 2014.

Wisconsin Energy Corp. (WEC) cleared a significant hurdle in getting its proposed acquisition of Integrys Energy Group, Inc. (Integrys) approved in the state of Michigan following a settlement agreement reached with several parties, including the state Governor, the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) staff, and Upper Peninsula Power Co. (UPPCO). In Fitch's view, the agreement bears no impact on WEC's ratings.
