Here is a glimpse of POWfolio projected Revenues b
Post# of 1674
Here is what Stanford Labs (using 2012 numbers for ecpm rates - current rates are very close to the $3 Stanford used.) has researched and calculated as solid estimates for projecting revenues based on number of downloads. These are just projections and should be taken as such - not the actual numbers, just what is potentially here.
These numbers take into account the split REDG has with Glowdot. REDG gets 25% minimum of all revenues from the app. They are 50% owners with Glowdot, but publishers get 50% of the revenue generated from their books that are read. So, REDG gets a MINIMUM of 25% of the revenue - they can get a a maximum of 75% of revenue when people read their books in the app.
Please see the very detailed info from Standford that explains the 20,377 number. It already takes into account most people will delete the app. These numbers show how much per 100,000 downloads. It also includes the calculation for those that end up keeping the app and using it. So, the numbers are legitimate estimates to consider for POWfolio alleviating some concerns others may have had regarding downloads not equating to users. Stanford already includes that variable in their numbers - this is a rough idea of what to expect.
REDG gets a minimum of 25% 20,377.50 x .25 = $5094.37 REDG take per 100,000 downloads over 21 days.
Remember - each number represents only 21 days, not a full month. A full month of 30 to 31 days is going to be larger, but Stanford research only shows 21 days.
(yearly calculation: 365/21 days = 17.38. Multiply 17.38 by 21 day revenue = est. yearly)
1 million downloads = $50,943.75 (yearly est. = $885,402.38)
POWfolio has been on the market in iOS since the first week of May. Unfortunately Apple does not share number of downloads and we have to rely on other research and estimates. Here is a showing of estimated daily downloads based on other research on paid apps:
ESTIMATE # of downloads for a given day in the app store:
Ranking: using formula from research paper in number of iPhone downloads = 52,958*rank-(0.944)
Ranking for top paid apps
Free-apps can get 10x the amount of downloads as a paid app
Book category is 2% of the market in the app store
Starting with 12 as that is POWfolio highest ranking in free books category - this is only for phones and doesn't even include ipads and this is for paid - Free can get 10x this amount per day:
