Doesn't apply to CBD at all, unless the variety you are looking for is blended with THC or is obtained from a high THC containing strain of Cannabis, or in other words, Marijuana. The vast majority of the CBD used in nutritional supplements or infused in foods & beverages will come from high CBD containing strains of Hemp in which there are nothing more than micro traces of THC. Like industrial Hemp, but of a specific strain high in CBD content. Unlike what some will try to sell you, CBD DOES NOT have to come from high THC containing strains of Cannabis in order to be top shelf. Indica Marijuana strains are preferred by some due to superior numbing and/or sedative-like properties which are preferred for those with serious issues such as chronic pain causing conditions, making it perfect for those fighting advanced stage cancers. For wellness, or as maybe the best preventative supplement you can consume, it's just not necessary for high quality CBD to be extracted from Marijuana. As a result, the legality of CBD consumption will not be affected as long as it's obtained from perfectly legal micro THC/high CBD strains of "industrial" hemp. I think "nutritional" hemp would be a more suitable term.
