That is an unfortunate article, but describes a theme all too common in pharmaceuticals and the medical arena: many, many companies are not in the business to save lives, they are in it for the immense profit. That is why upon initially investing in CTIX for the potential of K to be a cancer game changer, possibly a cure, that I had multiple people advise me that even if it worked big pharma would do everything they can to stop it from disrupting their hold on profits. The opinion(s) expressed to me is that BP want to treat diseases not cure them, because then they will cut down their 'customer base' and wont make as much money. While I am inclined to agree with them I still had faith in Dr. Menon to know how to get the trials done and how to play within the FDA system to allow for K to be a drug that works but will also be worth a BP buying and marketing it, rather than squashing it so that it didn't see the light of day. Given what has happened in the last few years with all of the attacks on CTIX and the constant negative bashing every day, I am believing more and more that there is at least one entity out there that is trying to squash K by trashing and manipulating CTIX. Maybe it is just because I have been hanging around some of you posters too much (you know who you are, ha ha), or maybe there is real possibility of a concerted effort to kill CTIX in order to stop progress on a drug that will transform the cancer landscape.
For now I am still very optimistic that CTIX is going to prevail. In a year from now when we have some partnerships secured for B and/or P and are going on all fronts with phase 2/3 trials for K, I predict that CTIX will finally be free of the cycle of manipulation and suppression we seem to have now. That's not to say some will still play games and try to manipulate, but I believe their attempts will have minor impacts and will be just a blip on the radar.
