One of the people featured in the New York Times (NYT) compilation video designed to marginalize Donald Trump supporters is speaking out to set the record straight. “Big Jim” Williams appears in the NYT video starting at 0:54 and, in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, the Chaplain of the Phoenix chapter of Riders USA blasts the video and the NYT for mischaracterizing him and all Trump supporters.
“This video is the kind of pathetic hack job people have come to expect of the failing New York Times and other liberal outlets,” Big Jim told Breitbart News over the phone. “They take a couple snippets from Trump supporters and use that to attack all of us, it’s ridiculous.”
In the clip Big Jim who is a welder/fabricator by trade, is depicted saying, “Muslim is not a religion, partner, it’s an ideology” and “You don’t come and talk about America when you’re supporting Muslims.”
“Those clips were part of a larger discussion about sharia law and how it’s incompatible with our Constitution,” Big Jim continued. “They want us to keep our heads in the sand in the name of political correctness, but we’re not going to sacrifice our rights because some liberal rag accuses us of hurting someone’s precious feelings. The fact is that Islam isn’t just a religion because it’s also a legal and political system called sharia.”
This isn’t the first time Big Jim has made headlines this election cycle. A picture of Big Jim holding a “Bikers for Trump” sign on stage at a Trump rally in Phoenix in late 2015 went viral, and Big Jim traveled at his own expense to the Republican National Convention in Cleveland to help keep the peace.
“The globalists are going to do everything they can to stop Trump,” Big Jim continued. “We the people have them running scared whether it’s Trump nationally or Dr. Kelli Ward right here in Arizona who’s going to defeat John McCain.”
