PRINCETON JUNCTION, N.J., Aug. 04, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The mobile wallet market today is the Wild West of the payments industry—it is largely undefined, there are no commonly-used security standards, and it is an open territory for innovation. For payments stakeholders looking to rein-in mobile wallets and understand the mobile wallet landscape, security considerations, and the business impact of mobile payments technology, the Smart Card Alliance will host a full-day mobile wallet workshop this September as part of its training and education initiatives through the Alliance’s National Center for Advanced Payments and Identity Security , in Crystal City, Virginia.
The one-day workshop, “ Mobile Wallets – the Wild West of Payments ,” will be held on September 15, 2016, and will be hosted in-person at the training center and streamed live for remote attendees. For those unable to attend, the workshop will also be recorded and made available online after the event.

- A close look at Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Android Pay – three main players in the U.S. market
- A deep dive into merchant- and bank-centric wallets including ChasePay, Walmart Pay, and wallets from Amazon and U.S. Bank
- Security considerations and fraud risks on the myriad of wallet solutions
- An expert panel discussion on the winners and losers of the mobile Wild West
